Choosing this construction
Four-way entry designs provide access from all four sides for suitable equipment, but not every opening works with every pallet truck. Block arrangement, lower boards and entry geometry influence practical compatibility. Check the actual design rather than relying on a four-way label.
Access is equipment-specific
Give the supplier the equipment type and any automated entry requirements. A forklift and a pallet truck engage a pallet differently. Confirm underside details, clearances and the load’s orientation in every storage or transport stage.
A practical specification example
A receiving warehouse may need to turn loads through a narrow approach. Four-way fork access can help operational flexibility, but the load must still remain stable and the pallet must suit the support conditions. Send the receiving warehouse’s acceptance specification with the enquiry.
Treatment and marking for the finished packaging
Tell us where the goods are being packed and their final destination. Include collars, blocking and other raw timber used with the base. Ask for the treatment and marking requirement to be confirmed for the offered construction. Neither entry type, footprint nor new condition is proof of ISPM 15 compliance. Changes after the packaging is supplied should be referred back to the responsible provider.
